A demo by Bifröst Orbit

Northwilds is not real. Everything you see here is.

Northwilds is a showcase brand by Bifröst Orbit. This website shows what CMS Orbit and Insights Orbit do on a real, fast website: every word, photo, menu, banner and popup is managed in CMS Orbit.

CMS Orbit

What CMS Orbit does on this website

Editors build pages from sections, fill in collections and run campaigns. Developers render it all with the SDK.

CMS Orbit

Pages built from sections

Every page is a list of sections editors add, move and fill in, like the hero, trip cards and questions on this page.

Collections with their own addresses

Trips, gear and journal articles are collections. Each entry has its own page, built from the same template.

References between entries

Trips point at their guide, and sections pick the trips, products and questions they show.

Insights Orbit

What Insights Orbit counts on this website

Insights Orbit counts visits without cookies and keeps nothing that can identify you, so there is no consent banner here. It is not live yet; this demo shows what it will do.

Insights Orbit

Visits without cookies

Page views, visitors, sources and countries, counted without cookies or personal data.

Insights Orbit

How each page performs

Each CMS Orbit page is counted by its id, so its numbers follow it when its address changes.

Events from buttons

Editors name an event on any button in CMS Orbit, such as Trip enquiry, and it is counted when clicked.

Banner and popup results

Views and clicks for every banner and popup, compared side by side when they share a campaign.

A booking funnel

Each step of booking sends an event, from Booking started to Payment reached, so you can see where travellers stop.

Searches on the site

The trip finder sends what people looked for, so you can see which trips are missing.

Built with the SDK

How the website is made

The website is a Next.js app that reads everything from CMS Orbit's delivery API with the JavaScript SDK. Each section in CMS Orbit is a React component, trips, gear and articles share three templates, and the live preview, popups, banners and cache refresh all come from the SDK.

Northwilds, its guides and its travellers are made up, and nothing on this website can be booked or bought.
