Questions before you choose
Booking a trip
How fit do I need to be?
Every trip has a difficulty. Easy means up to four hours of walking or paddling a day on good paths. Moderate means five to six hours with some climbs. Challenging means long days, steep ground and weather to match. If you are unsure, ask us and we will be honest.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. About half of our travellers do. Rooms are shared with one other traveller of the same gender unless you choose a single room, which most trips offer for a supplement.
Can you run a trip just for our group?
Yes. Any trip can run privately for six or more people, on the dates you choose. Families, clubs and teams all do it.
On the trip
Do I need to buy special kit?
No. Tents, stoves, kayaks, snowshoes and paddling kit are included where a trip needs them, and you can hire boots and waterproofs from us at the start.
