How can we help?
Answers to the questions we hear most. Our trip planners reply within a day, seven days a week.

How fit do I need to be?
Every trip has a difficulty. Easy means up to four hours of walking or paddling a day on good paths. Moderate means five to six hours with some climbs. Challenging means long days, steep ground and weather to match. If you are unsure, ask us and we will be honest.
How big are the groups?
Never more than twelve, and most trips run with six to ten people. Small groups mean we can stay in family-run huts and change plans when the weather does.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. About half of our travellers do. Rooms are shared with one other traveller of the same gender unless you choose a single room, which most trips offer for a supplement.
How much do I pay when I book?
A deposit of 20 percent holds your place. The rest is due eight weeks before you leave. If we cancel a trip for any reason, you get everything back.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel up to eight weeks before departure and we refund everything apart from a 100 euro fee. After that, we refund what we can recover from huts and transport, and you can always move to another date for free once.
Can you run a trip just for our group?
Yes. Any trip can run privately for six or more people, on the dates you choose. Families, clubs and teams all do it.

What happens if the weather turns?
Your guide has a plan B for every day, and a plan C for most. Safety comes first, and the most memorable days are often the ones that did not go to plan.
Do I carry all my luggage?
On hut-to-hut and coast trips, your main bag travels by van and you carry a day pack. On wild camping and paddling trips you carry more, and we tell you exactly what in the kit list.
Can you cater for my diet?
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and most allergies are no problem. Tell us when you book and we arrange it with every hut and kitchen along the way.
Do I need to buy special kit?
No. Tents, stoves, kayaks, snowshoes and paddling kit are included where a trip needs them, and you can hire boots and waterproofs from us at the start.
Will my phone work?
Most days, yes. Some huts and wild camps have no signal at all, which many travellers end up loving. Your guide always carries a satellite messenger for emergencies.

How fast is delivery?
Orders placed before 2 pm leave the same day. Delivery takes two to four working days across the EU and is free over 80 euros.
Can I return something?
Yes, within 60 days, even if you have worn it outside. If it did not work for you, it will work for someone else, and we would rather you were happy.
How do free repairs work?
Send us anything we sell, at any age, with a note about what went wrong. We repair it in our workshop and send it back. If it cannot be repaired, we recycle it and give you 30 percent off a replacement.
How do I find the right size?
Every product has a size guide, and our team will help by chat or email. Boots run true to size; if you are between sizes, go up half a size for long days.
