The Fjell is the boot most of our guides walk in. A single piece of 2.4 mm waxed leather wraps the foot with as few seams as possible, so there is less to wear through and less to let water in. Inside, a breathable waterproof lining keeps your feet dry through bogs, wet heather and spring snow.
The sole is stiff enough for scree and rocky ridges yet rolls well on long valley paths. When the tread wears down, bring the boots to any Northwilds store and we will resole them for you, usually within two weeks.
- Break them in over three or four short walks before a long trip
- Clean off mud after each walk and wax the leather twice a season
