Not every trail needs a boot. The Lyng weighs half as much as the Fjell and dries in an afternoon, which makes it our favourite for warm summer hiking, coastal paths and long days where the ground is mostly firm.
A soft, sticky rubber grips wet rock surprisingly well, and a light rock plate under the forefoot takes the sting out of sharp stones. The mesh upper is not waterproof on purpose: in warm weather your feet stay cooler and wet shoes dry quickly.
