Seven days crossing Iceland's empty interior by gravel bike, from black sand deserts to hot springs and glaciers.

  • Cross the Kjölur route between two glaciers
  • Bathe in natural hot springs after every long day
  • Ride through the coloured hills of Landmannalaugar
  • A support truck carries tents, food and spare parts

About the trip

Iceland's interior is one of the last great empty places in Europe. Gravel roads cross it between glaciers, lava fields and steaming hot springs, open only for a few weeks each summer.

Days of 60 to 90 kilometres on rough gravel and river crossings make this our toughest ride. You should be a strong rider, but the support truck is never far away and every evening ends in a hot pool.
