Five days riding gravel roads through the Julian Alps, following an emerald river past old war trails and mountain farms.

  • Ride beside the emerald Soča, Europe's most colourful river
  • Quiet gravel climbs to alpine pastures
  • Cheese, wine and plum brandy from mountain farms
  • A support van carries your bags and snacks

About the trip

The Soča valley is a gravel rider's dream: smooth white roads, old military tracks and almost no traffic, all beside a river so green it looks painted.

We ride 45 to 70 kilometres a day on gravel bikes with a support van close by. The climbs are long but steady, and there is always a café, a farm or a river beach at the top.

What's included

  • Four nights in guesthouses
  • Breakfasts and dinners
  • Gravel bike hire, or bring your own
