Six days riding gravel and old mule tracks over the high passes of central Switzerland, with lakes for swimming and trains for the boring bits.
- The old cobbled Tremola road over the Gotthard Pass
- Furka and Grimsel on quiet gravel side roads
- Swims in glacier lakes
- E-gravel bikes available for every day
About the trip
Switzerland's great passes are famous for road cycling, but beside the tarmac run old military roads, mule paths and farm tracks that are perfect for a gravel bike. We link them into a loop over the Gotthard, Furka and Grimsel.
The climbs are long and steady rather than steep, and the reward is huge: glaciers, granite and turquoise lakes at the top. Where the route gets dull we hop on a train, which in Switzerland is always on time.
This is a trip for fit riders. E-gravel bikes are available for anyone who would rather enjoy the views than count the hairpins.
