Senja coast trail
4.94(72)Senja, NorwayCoast

Five days on Norway's second largest island, where jagged peaks drop straight into the Arctic sea and the autumn colours are spectacular.
- The famous view of Segla above the fjord
- White beaches below Arctic peaks
- Fishing villages on the outer coast
- Autumn colours and the first northern lights in September
About the trip
Senja is Lofoten without the crowds: an island of steep peaks, deep fjords and tiny fishing villages on the edge of the Arctic Ocean.
Each day is a coastal walk with one short summit, such as Segla or Husfjellet, for views straight down to the sea. We stay in a fishing village on the outer coast and travel between trailheads by minibus.
In September the hillsides turn red and gold, and as the nights darken there is a good chance of the northern lights.
What's included

Your guide
Ingrid Solberg
Lead guide, Lofoten and western Norway
Ingrid grew up on a fishing island north of the Arctic Circle and has walked every ridge in Lofoten at least twice. In winter she swaps boots for skis on the Hardangervidda plateau. She knows where the cloudberries grow and never shares it.
